This message is on "The Temple of the Holy Spirit" by Pastor Charlie. The word, "temple," comes from the Latin word, "templum," which means "sacred place" or "holy place." It was a place of worship. Pastor Charlie traces the biblical history of temples from Baal to Ashtoreths and everything in-between. Solomon built the magnificient temple in Jerusalem for the Lord. Nechadnezzar burned it down and Ezra and the builders restore and rebuilt it after the exile. The gospels say a lot about the temple in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. There was the "naos" and the "hieron" aspects of the temple. We cover 1 Corinthians 3:9-17 and 6:13-20 along with 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 and Ephesians 2:18-22 explain Paul's concept of the individual and corporate temple of the Holy Spirit.
