This audio file is a verse by verse teaching of 2 Corinthians 5:1-21. Paul begins speaking about his outward man, or his physical body that is perishing. Because it is, and we have a better hope, he wants the Corinthians to focus on the eternal not the temporary. The eternal, is the immortal body that God will give us at the rapture. It is a body that will never die. A body that is imperishable, immortal, and incorruptible. God has given us the Holy Spirit as a down payment guaranteeing this new body. Therefore, we are to make it our aim to be well pleasing to Him, because all Christian believers will stand before the presence of Jesus and give an account. Because of this judgment, we must persuade men and warn them of the coming judgment. This is what motivates us, along with the agape love of Christ, to share with others. Christ died for all, so that all can live for Him. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is passed, the new has come. And we have been given the ministry of reconciliation and God has also committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are ambassadors for Christ, and God is speaking through us to bring reconciliation to lost sinners.
