Teacher of the Bible

This is a verse by verse video teaching of Habakkuk 2:1-11. The prophet waits as a watchman on the watchtower to see what the Lord will answer him. God gives him a vision that he must write down and wait for its fulfillment. In this vision, the Lord gives him one of the most famous lines in all of Scripture - "The just shall live by his faith." This is quoted in Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews. When it appears that the wicked are prospering and the Lord is silent, you have to live by faith. God is doing something behind the scenes that is not readily apparent. In verses 6-11, we have the beginning of the five woes of Chapter 2. The Babylonians will not get away with their wickedness. They will face the judgment of God. The "evil gain" and "plundering" will come back on their own heads. What they did to others will be done to them. They will reap what they sow.
