In this video, we have a time of praise and worship, a Missions Sunday presentation, a sermon by Pastor Charlie on the 2nd Coming of Jesus from John, and announcements for the church. In the message, we look at the Book of Revelation and what it says about the 2nd Coming of Jesus. We start with the verse that is the motto or “text” of Revelation (1:7). This verse is announcing that it is a visible, public event. “Every eye will see Him.” “All the tribes of the earth will mourn.” “Behold, He is coming in the clouds.” The “secret coming” or the “secret rapture” is never taught in Revelation. In Chapter 14, we see the two harvest – the wheat harvest reaped by Jesus for believers; the grape harvest reaped by angels for unbelievers. One group goes to heaven and the another to the great winepress of God’s wrath. The rapture takes place at a time of judgment not seven years before. Finally, Revelation 19:11-21 has perhaps the clearest picture of the 2nd Coming in the New Testament. Jesus comes on a white horse with His army and He alone destroys His enemies with the sword of His mouth at Armageddon. For the audio version of the message is available here.
