Esther 04 - Haman Hanged and Esther Saves the Jews - Video
This is a detailed video teaching of Esther, Chapters 7-8. We begin with Esther's second banquet and how she reveals to the king the threat that she and the Jews are under. She exposes Haman as "the enemy" and this leads to him being hanged on the very gallows he built for Mordecai. Most Christians know the Book of Esther up to this point, but the empire-wide danger is still in effect. Haman is dead, but the annihilation decree is still alive. In Chapter 8, this is where we see Mordecai elevated to "second in command" position of prime minister over the Persian Empire. He issues a new decree that allows the Jews to defend themselves against any attack resulting from Haman's decree. The lecture notes, PowerPoint, and audio files for this teaching here.
